Today I’m gonna be discussing my top five things that you must do Before traveling anywhere in the world and these are things that I’ve learned from my travelling experiences. So if you do find this article useful at any point.
Be sure to let me know by leaving comments and For any comments or questions or some of your things you must do before you travel in the comments section and check out the linked article on screen which is some travel related content. Let’s just jump straight to it okay. so in this article I’m gonna be giving you five things that I feel like you must do before you travel and then if you hung around till the end I’m gonna give you a bit of a bonus one as well.
Number One: Card Sim
the first one is check the phone provide the situation and by that I mean check what your phone provides the situation is for watched your traveling overseas and check the phone provide the situation within the country that you’re travelling to.
So for me in the UK I’m with Vodafone so before I go traveling I’ll check at Vodafone cover the countries that I’m traveling to, now Vodafone actually cover the entire of Europe, I believe so if I do go to Europe then I know I’m covered but when I’m going to Southeast Asia later this year I know Vodafone don’t cover that area so that is when I’ll have to get a new SIM card and put it into my phone when I arrive.
so that’s when you need to check out what phone providers, you know are around when you actually get to the destination, so if you are going to somewhere like Thailand or Vietnam Cambodia stuff like that. Over in Southeast Asia they will have different SIM cards that you need to use.
So you do need to check up on them things before you travel, because The last thing you want to do is get there and have no data and whilst phones aren’t everything in this world they are very handy for finding your way around. So leaving yourself with no phone wouldn’t be ideal, so do check the phone Provider situations for both yourself and the destination that you’re Traveling to.
Number Two : Local Currency
The next tip is to check the local currency and that is because currency changes pretty much every country you go to I’ve got some coins here and I don’t know if you can see them properly I’ll have a better shot of them on screen but basically I believe they’re from Hungary
To be honest I was only in Hungary and Budapest and I just got a load of coins but Basically there are 900 of whatever currency that is right there and it’s Literally four or five coins whereas If you go somewhere else even in England. If you have four or five coins the most you could have is ten pounds if you have two pound coins so obviously the amount it is the value probably stays the same.
But do check the local currency because a lot of times people travel to places without actually knowing the exact local currency and a lot of countries especially in Southeast Asia they do actually accept different types of currency. You know a lot of places will accept US Dollars and then they actually have their own local currency. as well so checking the local currency is a very important thing to do before you travel and just to take some cash with you in case of any emergencies you do always want to carry some cash even if you are going to be using your cars as the main source for currency to check the local one just in case.
Number Three :Injections and Vaccinations
Third tip does relate to most trips that people will take and it relates to in ejection’s or vaccinations and basically if you go to Southeast Asia or somewhere in the world which is quite tropical and Obviously there’s a lot of different things going around compared to whatYou’re used to in your home country.
This mainly relates to people in the UK Europe or the United States if you do go abroad to somewhere like Asia there are places that do require injections or vaccinations, so go and check with your local doctor or whoever you can check with local pharmacist. Go and check with them if you do need injections before you actually leave your trip, because They can obviously save your life.
And obviously some of them are just to keep boosters and to keep you from getting go, but some of them are actually vitally important so to check do you need them.
I’m going to Southeast Asia later this year and I will need some I’ve been told which ones I need and I’ll be getting them in due course.
And another tip is to not go too soon before your trip because a lot of these vaccinations do actually need to be carried out over a number of weeks. some of them have numerous vaccinations do you need to take maybe in three separate parts three separate doses and that could take a Couple of weeks. So go with plenty of time in advance before your trip just to check and obviously if you’re unsure if you need any vaccinations don’t just check online go and speak to a professional and they will be able to advise you book checking for Nations again, is another huge thing that you must do before traveling.
Number Four : Passports
Now tip number four relates to your passports and I’m gonna give you a quick bonus tip on your passports. make sure it’s balanced, make sure you know where it is ,and make sure you have at least six months on it left because a lot of places won’t actually let you into the country if you don’t have six months left, so that’s a quick thing on passports.
But in terms of this tip I’m gonna be talking about visas. Make sure
You have the right visa obviously if you are traveling to certain countries they will require visas and the best way to find out is to firstly search the country or travelling to see if they do have visa requirements and then search for your nationality.
Because for different nationalities the visa requirements do change a lot of visas nowadays can be done online some of them you will have to go to certain places within your country and then some of them are actually just bought upon arrival within the country.
So as I said do your researches make sure you know the visa requirements and then obviously make sure you know how to obtain your visa, if you do require one for the country that you’re travelling to, because if you don’t have a visa you’re not gonna be allowed in and that will put a pretty bad start to your trip before you even step foot into the Country, so make sure you know the visa requirements.
Number Five : Travel Insurance
Tip number five is make sure you have travel insurance, now a lot of people to actually go travelling without travel insurance and say they’ve never needed that so why should they get it well travel insurance.
Actually covers you for a lot of things it covers your bags it covers the stuff you’re taking if you have electrical equipment it covers whether you get hit in a car crash or something like that.
You know a lot of these things are unlikely but they do need to be covered, especially when you’re traveling because medical bills will run up massively if you are overseas and you need anything done, so obviously it does cover your medical as well.
so if you do unfortunately need to have anything done in a hospital or the doctor’s or a dentist when you’re abroad and you don’t have travel insurance you’re gonna get hit with a pretty hefty bill pretty hefty price to pay and it could even go back home, so you don’t want thatsituation for you or your family.
Make sure you have travel insurance and it gives you the peace of mind washed or traveling for me in the UK I go with the post office, I don’t even know if – that good I’ve gone with them in the past obviously, if you’re doing longer trips or going to more is considered dangerous places in the world.
the price does go up if you’re staying quite local to your country and it’s considered safe and it’s only for a short amount of time then the price will be cheaper, but do you make sure you have travel insurance
And make sure you do your research on which your good travel insurance Trip and do it well in advance.
Final Fonus : Check The Time
The final bonus tip is to check the time difference unchecks the travel time from your star point to your destination, because most places will be in a different time zone when traveling especially if you’re going by air and you don’t want to arrive in a country and realize that you’re not actually on the same time zone and you may miss something.
Potentially you could arrive at a new destination and the hotel check-in time cutoff could be midnight and you think it’s 11 o’clock and you
Just take your time but little did you know they’re actually an hour ahead and you’ve missed your check-in.
So make sure you do have these things thought out and obviously check the time to travel, so if you’re on the flights for eight hours and then there’s a time difference of six hours then you’re gonna be fourteen hours ahead, make sure your account for all of these things and this is just important for transport and stuff like that and obviously any adjustments that you need to make to your plans obviously you do need to account for the time difference. When you’re arriving in a new place.
